We develop secure, AI-powered translation software products used by enterprises and public-sector organizations to translate sensitive content safely and efficiently. Role overview
Pairaphrase is seeking a Director of Outbound Sales to build and lead the company’s outbound sales strategy and execution.
The primary focus of this role is to generate qualified leads through outbound strategies and direct sales activities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who will personally drive outbound outreach while developing repeatable processes.
A secondary objective of this role is to design a scalable outbound sales engine that can later support the hiring and expansion of a larger sales team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building pipelines from scratch, testing new outbound strategies, and turning successful experiments into scalable systems.

Key responsibilities
Lead generation through outbound sales
- Generate qualified sales opportunities through outbound strategies and direct outreach.
- Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, events, and other channels.
- Build and manage targeted prospect lists.
- Execute account-based outreach campaigns.
- Develop outreach strategies for key industries, including healthcare, government, legal, and global enterprises.
Outbound strategy development
- Design and test outbound strategies to identify the most effective lead-generation channels.
- Experiment with messaging, positioning, and target markets for both Pairaphrase and PairaVoice.
- Develop outreach campaigns tailored to different industries and customer profiles.
Pipeline creation
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Track outreach performance and optimize strategies based on results.
- Work with leadership to refine ideal customer profiles and target accounts.
Build a scalable outbound process
- Document repeatable outreach processes and workflows.
- Create outbound playbooks and messaging frameworks.
- Define SDR workflows and sales development processes.
- Establish key metrics and performance indicators for outbound sales.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing to align outbound messaging and campaigns.
- Provide feedback to Product Development and leadership about customer needs and objections.
- Help refine positioning for both Pairaphrase and PairaVoice.
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales
- Strong experience in outbound prospecting and pipeline creation
- Proven track record of generating enterprise leads through outbound strategies
- Experience developing repeatable sales processes
- Previous experience building and leading sales teams
- Comfortable working in early-stage or growth-stage environments
Preferred qualifications
- Experience selling into healthcare or regulated industries
- Previous SaaS experience
- Experience building outbound programs from the ground up
- Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce

Compensation Structure
This role uses a 50/50 compensation structure designed to reward strong outbound performance and pipeline generation.
Base Salary (50%)
The base salary represents 50% of the total On-Target Earnings (OTE).
Performance-Based Compensation (50%)
The remaining 50% is tied to measurable sales and pipeline outcomes.
Commission Accelerators
To reward exceptional performance, the plan includes commission accelerators once quota is exceeded.
Example structure:
- 0–100% of target: standard commission rate
- 100–125% of target: 1.25× commission
- 125–150% of target: 1.5× commission
- 150%+ of target: 2× commissions
